Annie Hockham

Welcome to the first in a series of profiles of the Ukraine Fundraiser 2022 team.

We start off this series with one of our co-founders, Annie Hockham. It is often said that behind every good man, there is a good woman and that is certainly the case with Annie!

Whilst Annie doesn’t get to go on every run, she has been with Mike many times and like him, has developed a love for the country and its people.

Behind the scenes, Annie gets involved in all aspects of managing an aid organisation from collecting and sorting aid, loading the van to dealing with the paperwork required to get aid across the Polish border and into Ukraine.

Annie is also the Treasurer for the team – she brings many years experience as a Treasurer for the Royal British Legion to this part of her role. Coming from a family with a long history of military service, she understands only too well the challenges being faced in Ukraine.

Prior to the start of the war, Annie ran her own business but has given that up to support the work of Ukraine Fundraiser 2022.
