Andy Wooler

Andy joined the Ukraine Fundraiser 2022 team in December 2022 following Mike’s crowdfunding appeal to buy the blue van – he jokingly suggested that in addition to sending money, he would drive it over too – the rest is history!

In addition to bringing another van into the mix, Andy has also set up the “Brass Band Aid for Ukraine” initiative to harness the collective power of musicians. He is now running Brass Band Aid as a separate organisation reflecting different funding needs and Brighton based aid donors. However, Andy & Mike still support each other when needed.

Andy served in BAOR in the 1970’s when there was an inner German border keeping us safe – he firmly believes that border is now Ukraine and has taken a partial retirement to enable him to focus on Brass Band Aid for Ukraine
